  1. Prep first: dice the yellow onion and red bell pepper, mince the jalapeño and garlic, rinse the pinto beans, and thinly slice the green onions.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat. Add the ground turkey and cook, breaking it up, until browned, about 6 minutes.
  3. Add the yellow onion, red bell pepper and jalapeño and cook until softened, about 5 minutes. Stir in the garlic and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the chili powder, cumin, smoked paprika, oregano and tomato paste and cook 1 minute until fragrant and darkened.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes with their juice, the chicken broth, the kidney beans and the pinto beans. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer, partly covered, for 30 minutes, stirring now and then, until thick. The turkey should reach 165°F (74°C).
  6. Season with the salt and black pepper, then stir in the lime juice.
  7. Ladle into bowls and top each with a spoonful of the Greek yogurt and a scattering of the sliced green onions.
