Ingredients
- 1¼ cups (300 ml)300 gBrewed green teafreshly brewed and hot
- 1 medium150 gPeachesfinely diced
- ⅓ cup25 gOld-fashioned rolled oats
- 1 cup250 gWaterdivided
- 2½ tsp18 gHoney
- ½ tsp1 gGround cardamom
Steps
- Make the oat milk first: blend the oats with four-fifths of the water for 30 seconds until smooth, then strain through a fine sieve and set aside. Short blending keeps it from turning slimy.
- In a small pot over medium heat, combine the peach, the remaining one-fifth of the water, the honey and the cardamom. Simmer 4 to 5 minutes, mashing with a fork, until the peach is soft and syrupy.
- Pour the hot green tea into the pot with the peach mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the strained oat milk and warm over low heat, whisking, just until steaming; do not boil.
- Whisk briskly for a frothy top, then divide between two mugs and serve hot.
