  • 1 tsp3 gGarlic powder
  • ½ tsp1 gGround cinnamon
  • 1 tsp6 gSalt

Steps

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Put the rice in an 8-inch baking dish, pour over the boiling water with a pinch of the salt, cover tightly with foil and bake about 55 minutes until tender.
  2. Rub the turkey with a little olive oil, the thyme, rosemary, garlic powder, some of the salt and the pepper. Place on one side of a sheet pan.
  3. Toss the sweet potato and onion with olive oil, the cinnamon and a pinch of salt and spread on the rest of the pan. Roast with the rice for 20 minutes.
  4. Toss the green beans with the remaining oil and salt, add them to the pan, and roast 15 to 20 minutes more, until the turkey reaches 165°F (74°C) in the thickest part and the vegetables are browned. Rest the turkey 5 minutes, then slice.
  5. Meanwhile, put the cranberries, maple syrup and orange juice in a small baking dish and roast in the oven about 15 minutes, stirring once, until the berries burst; mash lightly into a chunky sauce.
  6. Toast the pecans on a corner of the pan for the last 5 minutes.
  7. Fluff the rice and divide among four bowls. Top with the turkey, sweet potatoes, onion and green beans, spoon over the cranberry sauce and scatter with the pecans.
