  • 1 cup sliced170 gStrawberrieshalved
  • 1½ cups360 gWatercold
  • 2 tbsp30 gLime juice
  • 1 tbsp12 gGranulated sugar
  • ¼ tsp1 gChili powder

Steps

  1. Make the rim mix first: on a small plate, stir together one third of the sugar and the chili powder.
  2. Pour 1 teaspoon of the lime juice onto a second small plate. Dip the rim of each glass in the lime juice, then in the chili-sugar mix, and set the glasses aside.
  3. Put the pineapple, the strawberries, half of the cold water, the remaining lime juice and the remaining two thirds of the sugar in a blender. Blend on high until completely smooth, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour the purée through a fine-mesh sieve set over a pitcher, pressing the pulp with a spoon to get all the juice out; discard the seeds and pulp.
  5. Stir the remaining half of the cold water into the pitcher.
  6. Fill the rimmed glasses with ice, pour the agua fresca over the ice and serve right away.
