  • 1 tbsp14 gCanola oil
  • ⅛ tsp1 gSalt
  • 2 tbsp grated12 gFresh gingerfinely grated
  • 2 cloves6 gGarlicfinely grated
  • 1½ tbsp20 gLow-sodium soy sauce
  • 1¾ tsp8 gToasted sesame oil
  • 1½ tsp10 gHoney
  • 1 tbsp15 gLime juice
  • 2¾ tsp8 gSesame seedstoasted
  • 1 medium15 gGreen onionsthinly sliced

Steps

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high, about 425°F (220°C), and clean the grates.
  2. Make the dressing first: in a large bowl, whisk the ginger, garlic, soy sauce, toasted sesame oil, honey and lime juice. Set it aside.
  3. In a second bowl, toss the broccoli and red bell pepper with the canola oil and salt.
  4. Grill the broccoli and red bell pepper, turning every 2 to 3 minutes, until charred in spots and crisp-tender, 8 to 10 minutes. A grill basket helps keep smaller pieces from falling through.
  5. Move the hot broccoli and red bell pepper straight into the bowl of dressing and toss to coat; let them sit 2 minutes to soak it up.
  6. Pile onto a platter and finish with the sesame seeds and green onion. Serve warm.
