Ingredients
- 1⅓ cups (320 ml)320 gBrewed black teabrewed strong and chilled
- ¾ cup (180 ml)200 gSkim milkcold
- 1½ tbsp packed20 gBrown sugar
- 2 tbsp30 gWater
- 1 tsp4 gVanilla extract
Steps
- Brew the black tea extra strong and chill it in the fridge until cold, about 15 minutes, or brew it ahead.
- Make the syrup: in a small pot, warm the brown sugar and the water over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Take the pot off the heat and stir in the vanilla. Let the syrup cool for a few minutes.
- Divide the vanilla brown sugar syrup in half, spooning one half into each of two tall glasses.
- Pour half of the chilled black tea into each glass and stir to blend it with the syrup.
- Fill each glass with ice, then slowly pour half of the cold skim milk over the top of each so it swirls into the tea. Stir before sipping.
