- 1¼ tsp5 gVanilla extract

Steps
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with paper liners.
- For the topping, stir together the pumpkin seeds and the granulated sugar in a small bowl; set aside.
- In a large bowl, whisk the flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, ground ginger and nutmeg.
- Toss the blueberries with 1 tablespoon of this flour mixture so they don't sink; leave the rest of the flour mixture in the bowl.
- In a second bowl, whisk the pumpkin, brown sugar, eggs, canola oil, milk and vanilla until smooth.
- Pour the pumpkin mixture into the remaining flour mixture and fold just until no dry flour shows; a few lumps are fine.
- Gently fold in the floured blueberries.
- Divide the batter evenly among the 12 cups and sprinkle the pumpkin seed and granulated sugar topping over the tops.
- Bake 20 to 24 minutes, until domed and a toothpick in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan 5 minutes, then move the muffins to a rack to cool at least 15 minutes before serving.
