Ingredients
- ¾ cup (180 ml)200 gBrewed green teabrewed double strength and chilled
- 1¼ cups (300 ml)300 gSkim milkvery cold
- 1 tbsp20 gMaple syrupdivided
- ½ tsp2 gVanilla extract
Steps
- Before you start, have the green tea brewed at double strength and fully chilled so the drink stays cold and layers cleanly.
- In a small jug, stir half of the maple syrup into the chilled green tea until dissolved; set aside.
- Pour the cold skim milk into the blender, then add the remaining half of the maple syrup and the vanilla.
- Blend the skim milk mixture on high for 30 to 45 seconds, until it doubles in volume and turns light and foamy.
- Fill two tall glasses with ice and divide the frothy skim milk mixture between them, spooning the foam on top.
- Slowly pour half of the sweetened green tea into each glass over the back of a spoon so it settles in a green layer beneath the foam.
- Serve right away with a straw, stirring to blend the layers as you sip.
